10th September 2018 | “Sewing with knits – Making a dress” with Charlotte Newland, Winner of The Great British Sewing Bee
The wonderful Charlotte Newland, WINNER of The Great British Sewing Bee 2016, will be here in Nailsworth on Monday 10th September 2018 as a special guest teacher running her full day “Sewing with Knits – Making a Dress” workshop! You’ll have an amazing time learning to make a stretch dress with sleeves, which will easily become a new wardrobe staple.
This workshop is for people who know how to use their sewing machine and who have maybe done some dressmaking already, but are new to knits or want more knit experience.
The dress we will be making is McCalls M7313, which has several sleeve/neckline options. We will be making a version with sleeves of either length, NOT sleeveless (see image gallery).
The pattern is included in the workshop cost, however it comes in two size ranges (8 – 16 and 18 – 24) so please select the appropriate size when booking the workshop, using actual body measurements and the below size chart to determine your size. It is NOT the same as your ready-to-wear size. If you are between sizes, choose a size smaller.
